This guide will show you how to add trainers to the system and edit their commissions.

Account administrators can create unique Calendars for each of their Trainers which will appear on the Schedule page.

Having schedules for each of your trainers allows you to organize each individual's schedule their own way. You can also use EZFacility to track a trainer's payroll earned for their booked classes. Because trainers are automatically considered salespeople, you can also calculate their commissions on their membership or package sales

Adding a Trainer as a Resource

Click Administration.

Click Resources.

Click Instructors.

Instructors

Click Create Instructor

  1. Type in the instructor's name
  2. Choose the resource group the instructor should sit under.
  3. Click Save

Set Trainer's Default Session Commission Rates

1. Click on the Pay Rates tab

2. To set a new trainer's Session Commission Rates:

a. Decide whether a trainer will be paid Per Attendee(rates are dependent on their attendance levels) or Per Session(flat rate per class)

If they are paid Per Attendee:

Session Commission will pay the trainer this percentage of the value of the client's package used to book in the class

Hourly / 45 Min / 30 Min Session Rate will give the trainer a dollar amount, per attended client, prorated for the length of their class.

Comp Session Rate will pay the trainer a flat hourly rate per Comp package in a session

If they are paid Per Session:

- The Hourly / 45 Min / 30 Min Session Rate will give the trainer a flat rate per Session, prorated for the length of their class

Comp Session Rate will pay the trainer a flat hourly rate per Comp package in a session

Session Commission does nothing

b. Program Instruction, Non-Training Time (Scheduled sessions without any attendees), andFloor Rate are all flat rates regardless of attendees.

 

3. To edit a trainer's Session Commission Rates:

- Click the Pencil icon next to the trainer's name. Set their rates as above. Click Save to keep the changes.

Set Trainer's Default Package Sales Commission Rates

1. Set up a Trainer

2. To set a trainer's Sales Commission Rates

- a. Use Sales Comm to pay a percentage against the value of the package sold

- b. Use Flat Comm Rate to pay a flat rate for each package sold

3. To edit a trainer's Sales Commission Rates:

- Click the Pencil icon next to the trainer's name. Set their rates and click Save.

Set Trainer's Service-Specific Session Pay Rates and Package Sales Rates

1. Open the trainer by clicking on the pencil icon and click the Package Pay Rates tab.

2. Select the Reservation Type that this rate will apply towards from the drop-down menu. Set the rates as desired (see above for a detailed explanation)

3. You can also set how the Trainer will be getting paid whether it is Per attendee or Per session

4. You can also set their Sales Commission rate and Flat Commission rate for package sales from this page

5. When finished, select Add Rate to save your options

6. To change an existing program rate, use the Pencil icon to edit the commission rates. Click Update Rate to save your changes when done. To delete the rate, click the trash can.

Set Trainer's Membership-Specific Pay Rates

1. Open the trainer you wish to edit by clicking the pencil icon. Click the Membership Pay Rates tab.

2. Select the Membership Type that these rates will apply towards from the drop-down menu. Set the rates as desired:

- Sale Commission gives a percentage of the membership's value

- Flat Comm. gives a flat rate per membership

- First Invoice Only only pays the trainer for the first bill in the contract, so that they don't continue to receive a commission if the contract auto renews or extends past the initial billing period (eg. "How Many Times" is set higher than one on the contract)

3. When finished, select Add Rate to save your options.

4. To change an existing membership rate, use the Pencil icon to edit the commission rates. Click Update Rate to save your changes when done. To delete the rate, click the trash can icon.
