How to Create a New Rental Rate for Resource View 2026

This guide will show you how to create a Rental Rate for the New Resource View.

Locating the Rental Area

Go to Administration.

Click on Rentals

Select Rental Rates.

To add a new Rental Rate click on the Create Rental Rate button

Rate Details

  1. Rate Name* - You must enter a name for the Rental Rate.
  2. Description - You can add internal notes to describe how or when this rate should be used.
  3. Rental types - Select the rental types this Rate can be used with.
  4. Venues - Select what Venues this rate can be used with.
  5. Click on Next:Pricing to go to the next tab.

Pricing

In this area you can set up Default rates for both Members and Non-Members Per hour or Per occurrence

You will also be able to create Custom Rules.

Create Rate - Allows you to create an additional rate that Overrides the default rate for special circumstances like time range, date range, days of the week, and membership types.

You can decide on a Rate Name, the Audience and the Rate and you can then choose to add a rule for this Rate.

 

Create Discount - Subtracts from the default rate

You can decide the Discount Name, the Audience and the Discount (Percent or Amount) and you can then choose to add a rule for this Discount.

To save the Custom Rule ensure you click Save & Next: Billing

You can add multiple Custom Rules.

Billing

This area allows you to set up the following

Registrations ends before event - How long before the booking starts can the Rental be booked.

Minimum rental duration - Shortest allowable rental time block.

Maximum rental duration - Longest allowable rental time block.

Billing - when booking is No payment required, Paid in full at time of booking or Partial payment upfront

 

Click on Save & Next: Review button

Review

This area will allow you to review the Rental Rate.

When you have finished reviewing click on the Close button.
