How to Create a Tournament in EZLeagues

This lesson will show you how to create a tournament

** If you have a EZFacility 4.0 or TMS/TCMS account you can create a Group for registration purposes and publish the group as a tournament instead of creating the tournament in EZLeagues

Tournament Details

Tournament Details

Type: Type of tournament you wish to create: Round Robin, Single Elimination, Double Elimination

Name: Name of tournament

Age Group: Drop down menu of predefined age options to choose

Season: Choose the season associated with this tournament (optional)

Division: Division of the tournament ( recreation, competitive, A or B, etc.)

Starts: First day the tournament begins, games will be schedule from this day forward

Ends: last day of the tournament

Sport: drop down menu of predefined sports that can be associated with this tournament

Teams: choose the team option by click on the appropriate radio button

   - Don't Create Teams: allows you to manually add teams at a later date

   - Generate Teams: creates generic teams as placeholders until you change the name to those teams that will be participating

   - Choose teams from Existing: allows you to pull copies of teams that have previously participated in a league or tournament in your account

Maximum Defaults: limit on the total number of defaults allowed for a team during this season

Maximum Forfeits: limit on the total number of forfeits allowed for a team during this season

Minimum Sportsmanship: the minimum required rating for a team to be able to continue participating in this season

Registration Link: copy/paste your own registration link into the field

1. Enter your tournament details and choose teams from existing leagues/tournaments (this is an example, you can use any of the 3 options)

2. Click on Add

1. Choose the league or tournament from the drop down that you wish to select teams from

2. Check the boxes of those teams you wish to move into the tournament

3. Click on Add Teams (Change the league/tournament to select other teams as needed)

4. Change the seeding or remove the team

5. Click on Finish

The edit tournament page is displayed once you add the tournament, allowing you to add teams or games or make other adjustments to the tournament.

1. Click on Edit Tournament Info to change any of the information you just entered

2. Check options to display them on the public website or uncheck them to remove them
